Neil Riordan, PA, PhD is one of the early pioneers and experts in applied stem cell research. Dr. Riordan is founder, chairman and chief science officer of the Stem Cell Institute in Panama, which specializes in the treatment of human diseases and conditions using Golden Cells™. He is also co-founder and chief science officer of the Riordan Medical Institute (RMI) located in Southlake, TX.
Dr. Riordan is an established author and inventor. Together with leading universities, he has published numerous papers in peer reviewed medical journals and has 17 families of patent applications. He has also published two books about mesenchymal stem cell therapy: Stem Cell Therapy: A Rising Tide: How Stem Cells Are Disrupting Medicine and Transforming Lives and MSC (Mesenchymal Stem Cells): Clinical Evidence Leading Medicine’s Next Frontier.
Neil Riordan, PA, PhD earned his Bachelor of Science at Wichita State University and graduated summa cum laude. He received his Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Riordan completed his education by earning a Ph.D. in Health Sciences at Medical University of the Americas.
As Board Member & Medical Director at Stem Cell Institute, Dr. Paz leads a team of experienced doctors in our efforts to improve patient lives through stem cell therapy.
Dr. Paz received his medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Panama. He performed his internal medicine training at Lincoln Hospital in New York City as part of the New York Medical College Program “A”. He is also board-certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Paz is the former medical director of the Wellmed Clinic in San Antonio, Texas, and also former director for its chronic disease control program (diabetes, congestive heart failure, and ischemic heart disease). Presently, he is the director of Wellmed Clinic in Panama along with his work at Stem Cell Institute.
Tejas V. Ozarkar, MD, is an Ivy League trained, double board-certified physician in pain management and physical medicine/rehabilitation with particular experience treating patients with neck, back, and joint pain. Dr. Ozarkar received his undergraduate education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he studied accounting and biology before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
Dr. Ozarkar continued his medical training with a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He returned to his alma mater to complete an Anesthesia Pain Management Fellowship with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ozarkar has been published in the PM&R Journal and has had the opportunity to present his research to the Texas Pain Society and various other conferences and symposiums. Dr Ozarkar belongs to several professional societies and maintains an active role in his county’s medical society.
Dr. Shapiro serves as assistant clinical professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. She also operates a private practice for physical medicine and rehabilitation in New York City.
Her primary professional activities include outpatient practice focused on comprehensive treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and myofascial pain syndromes using manipulation techniques, trigger point injections, tendon injections, bursae injections, nerve and motor point blocks.
Dr. Shapiro completed a residency in PM&R at Albert Einstein and a fellowship in Pediatric Rehab at Einstein’s Kennedy Center. She contributed to the revision of Dr. Janet Travell’s Manual in Myofascial Pain, Vol I and has taught for her workshop series. She is also the founder and president of the Dayniah Fund, a non-profit charitable foundation formed to support persons with progressive debilitating diseases who are faced with catastrophic events such as surgery or illness.
Cesalina Gracie is a female empowerment entrepreneur, athlete (teacher), and TV presenter. Born into the largest martial arts family in the world, she is the granddaughter of Grand Master Carlos Gracie Sr., pioneer of the world-famous Brazilian jiu-jitsu movement and driving force behind the UFC – Ultimate Fighting Championship. Cesalina owns a school of empowerment in Los Angeles and uses the art and philosophy of jiu-jitsu to help girls and women discover their own inner champion.
Her latest show, in partnership with Microsoft and BetterUp, features authentic and inspiring stories from some of the most compelling luminaries of our time, including Maria Sharapova, Emmanuel Acho, Aurora James, amongst others. Cesalina was also the official host of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Summer Paralympic Games, and has produced some of the most prestigious shows on Fox Sports.
On May 22nd, 2023 Cesalina made history after being the 8th Brazilian woman to summit Mount Everest -the world’s highest mountain- during the deadliest season in the mountain’s 102-year climbing history.
As a passionate advocate of health and wellness, she will be hosting our event and sharing her personal story of how Stem Cell Institute impacted her family.
