Providing Unbiased, Scientifically-Sound Treatment Options Since 2005
Our team was assembled in 2005 to provide unbiased, scientifically-sound treatment options to patients with degenerative diseases. The organization arose from the unmet need to provide stem cell therapies that have been shown by others to meet the bar of safety in Phase I trials, but are not yet widely available because efficacy has not been proven.
Our science originates from an American biotechnology company founded by Neil Riordan, PhD who, together with leading Universities has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and has 17 families of patent applications.
Our medicine is founded on clinical use of stem cells. Since opening our doors in 2006, we have performed over 25,000 procedures. In order to incorporate the most recent advancements into patient care, we routinely interact with colleagues in the USA and internationally, many of whom are using stem cells in clinical trials.
At the Stem Cell Institute, our mission is to be at the forefront of research with novel treatment protocols for chronic diseases using adult stem cells, always according to the highest international bioethics standards, and offering, with transparency, honesty and human quality, treatments developed to improve the condition of our patients.

OUR ADULT STEM CELL LABORATORY
Medistem Panama
Medistem Panama, founded by Dr. Neil Riordan, is an 11000 sq. ft., ISO 9001-certified facility located in the prestigious City of Knowledge in Panama.
Medistem’s production lab consists of 3 ISO 7 class 10000 clean rooms with 9 ISO 5 class 100 laminar flow hoods and 17 ISO 5 class 100 incubators.
Its research and development lab has an ISO 7 class 10000 clean room with two ISO 5 class 100 laminar flow hoods and four ISO 5 class 100 incubators.
Lastly, Medistem’s prep room is an ISO 7 class 10000 clean room with three ISO 5 class 100 laminar flow hoods.
These facilities are the core of what makes us the world’s leading adult stem cell therapy and research center.
